Pulseroller Introducing High-Speed 90° Transfer Unit at MODEX 2026

ERLANGER, KY (April 10, 2026) - Pulseroller will introduce its new PDS-90 (Pulse Divert Switch 90) at MODEX 2026, held April 13–16 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Attendees can see the new solution in action at booth C13572.

The PDS-90 is a high-speed, modular 90-degree transfer unit designed for conveyor systems requiring increased throughput, layout flexibility, and reliable operation in demanding environments.

The unit introduces a new transfer concept in which the roller bed and transfer belts move alternately, enabling throughput rates of 1,800+ parcels per hour, a significant increase over conventional 90-degree transfer solutions. This performance improvement enables higher system capacity without increasing conveyor footprint, making it well-suited for high-throughput distribution and fulfillment operations.

Unlike traditional transfer systems, the PDS-90 maintains a constant conveying elevation during transfer, eliminating vertical product movement. This stroke-free transfer design ensures smooth handling of cartons and parcels, helping reduce product disruption and supporting continuous material flow, even for sensitive or irregular loads.

The PDS-90 features a scalable design available in seven standard configuration variants and accommodates conveyor between-frame (BF) designs ranging from 15” to 34”. This allows system designers to precisely match the unit to a wide range of conveyor layouts and material flow requirements. With support for both 24V and 48V systems, the PDS-90 integrates seamlessly into existing Pulseroller-powered conveyor architectures while enabling higher performance where needed.

Designed for industrial environments, the PDS-90 includes features that enhance system uptime and simplify maintenance. A top-access maintenance design eliminates the need to access components from below the conveyor, while the system requires no belt retensioning, reducing ongoing maintenance effort. Integrated broken belt detection supports faster troubleshooting and helps minimize downtime, and the overall construction is built for long-term durability in demanding applications.

The PDS-90 supports loads up to 110 lbs., with higher capacity options available, and is offered in both standard and freezer-rated versions. This allows it to perform reliably across a wide range of environments, including temperature-controlled operations.

Pulseroller invites MODEX attendees to visit booth C13572 to see the PDS-90 in operation and learn how it can improve throughput, flexibility, and reliability in conveyor system design.
