Specify Rollers

The Pulse Roller specification tool is applicable only to basic conveyance applications. For special applications such as right angle transfers, belt conveyors, lift systems, pallet handling or multiple motorized-driven rollers per zone, please contact Insight Automation.

Specification Data

To help us make the best recommendation for your application, we need to know your basic requirements. For each category below, select the condition that describes your application. Be as complete as possible. Any categories left blank will default to the condition with the lowest impact on required torque.

Select a single condition in each specification category. In the event that your application requires multiple conditions within a single category, select the condition with the greatest impact on required torque. Conditions are listed in order from those with the lowest impact on required torque to those with the greatest impact.

Angle of conveyance surface

Ratio of idlers to motorized-driven rollers

Side friction

Bottom surface of item being conveyed

Position of item being conveyed

Maximum weight of item being conveyed:
lbs
What does this mean?
Maximum weight should reflect the weight of the item being conveyed and also include the weight of any tote, pallet, sled, etc. Weight of an item being conveyed is a primary factor in calculating the application torque requirement and corresponding product recommendations. Under estimation of total weight could result in the inability to move the load, increased starting and operating amperage and pre-mature product failure.
Material of item being conveyed:
What does this mean?
Should reflect the material that is in direct contact with the motorized-driven roller. Specification tool assumes use of a standard motorized-driven roller with no covering.
Base diameter of motorized-driven roller:
in
What does this mean?
For the purpose of this calculation we are using the base diameter of the roller (not including any coverings that may be used).
Conveyance speeds:
Minimum
ft/min

Nominal
ft/min

Maximum
ft/min

If only a single conveyance speed is required enter speed as nominal.
